Let the party begin: Santiago 2023 group draws get underway

With water polo in the tombola, on Wednesday, the 41 nations of the Americas will find out in which group they’ll compete at the Pan American and Parapan American Games. It’ll be broadcast on the organization's YouTube channel and on Panam Sports Channel.

An important stage in the process towards the Pan American and Parapan American Games is the start of the draws. At this point it’ll be known in which group each country will compete in the conventional and Para team sports.

There are eight sports and Para sports, including basketball, football, gymnastics, handball, water polo, CP football, blind football, and wheelchair basketball.

This Wednesday 16th, from 11.00 a.m. the first draw will take place.  Water polo is noted for being the debut in this modality that allows users to have more information about/on the tickets for the Santiago 2023 Games.

The draw will be broadcast on Santiago 2023's YouTube and Panam Sports Channel from the Santiago 2023 Corporation's offices.

THIS IS THE DRAWING SCHEDULE

  • Wednesday, August 16th, 11:00 a.m.: water polo.
  • Thursday, August 17th, 11:00 a.m.: wheelchair basketball.
  • Friday, August 18th, 11:00 a.m.: CP football.
  • Friday, August 18th, 12:00 p.m.: football.
  • Tuesday, August 22nd, 10:00 a.m.:  basketball.
  • Thursday, September 7th, 11:00 a.m.: gymnastics.
  • Thursday, September 14th, 10:00 a.m.: blind football.
  • Day and time to be defined: handball.
