Brianna Salinaro Wins 100 Meters, Adds Her Second Gold with Record.

The American won with a time of 15.90, setting a new record for the T35 class. On Wednesday, she did the same in the 200 meters.

Saturday, November 25th, 2023.- Brianna Salinaro from the United States secured her gold medal at Santiago 2023, this time in the T35 class 100 meters (cerebral palsy), setting a new Pan American record with a time of 15.90.

Salinaro's new record surpassed the previous mark held by Canadian Virginia McLachlan (16.74) since November 17, 2011, at the Parapan American Games in Guadalajara.

The American had already broken the record for the 200 meters flat last Wednesday (34.57).

"I feel amazing. Honestly, I felt like I could have run a little faster, but I really can't ask for more. I am very proud of myself. Double champion now, so I am really proud and grateful," commented Salinaro, who hopes to continue adding gold medals at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

The silver medal went to Milagros Mostaffa from Argentina (16.40), while the bronze was claimed by another American, Delaney Nolin (17.32).
