Santiago 2023, MINDEP and IND join in a working day with athletes and coaches

The activity was carried out in order to meet all the technical requirements of the different disciplines and thus promote the development of athletes for the next Santiago 2023 Pan American and Parapan American Games.

Athletes, authorities and coaches met today at the location of the High Performance Center (CAR) located in the National Stadium Park, for a working day that aimed to discuss the technical requirements of each discipline in the different sports venues.

The activity was directed by the Sports and Infrastructure areas of Santiago 2023, the Ministry of Sports (MINDEP) and the National Institute of Sports (IND). The latter were in charge of collecting information on the technical requirements of the venues based on the athletes' training, while Santiago 2023 was in charge of the competition. In addition, the institutions showed the progress and projects of the National Stadium Park venues.

The executive director of Santiago 2023, Felipe De Pablo highlighted the importance of this event, since “the athletes, coaches and technical team of Santiago 2023 participate together, which allows us to achieve a goal that is for everyone”. For her part, the Minister of Sports, Cecilia Pérez, declared herself happy with the progress and for "the participation of the actors in this great sports festival."

Meanwhile, the participating athletes highlighted the dialogue instance and appreciated the joint work being carried out for the Santiago 2023 Pan American and Parapan American Games.
